Note from Michele:

Just in case there is any confusion, I am only engaged to one man. I know, I know..... the blog says Michele Hearts Christopher while I keep calling him Marcus. Well, due to a small identity crisis in the 8th grade, my fiance started going by his middle name. Actually, he did this because there were far too many Chrises following the rise of Kris Kross. :) In any case, formally, I address him as Chris, but on a regular basis he is Marcus to me.

The Best Things Come in Small Packages

As of 4.4.2012, our save the dates (STDs) have been ordered! This is such a huge deal because I've been so swamped with legal reading and research, Bar Application tasks, and loads of other such ridiculousness that I hadn't the opportunity the make a decision and pull the trigger on wedding paper. Besides, some of you have been waiting since February 2010 to find out where we would be holding our nuptials and it is about time that you were clued in!  Obviously, if you are here, you've received our STD and are just as excited as we are about the wedding. The Save the Dates serve as more than just a fun card with our fantastic engagement photos emblazoned across the front for you to ohh and ahhh over (j/k!). They also allow us to whittle down the guest list to a small, carefully selected thirty-eight guests. The day after our engagement Marcus and I had a conversation about wanting to keep the wedding small. This was part and parcel to our considering destination wedding locations in the first place. Luckily, small weddings are one of Veritas Vineyard & Winery's specialties so along with our planner, Claire Goodman, we were able to put together a very intimate and personal celebration.

Unfortunately, we have infinitely more friends, family, and coworkers that we would love to have at our wedding and had a difficult time choosing our guests. After spending time on wedding websites, we discovered an option that would allow everyone to enjoy the festivities -- a separate reception! There are more details to come, but it looks like everyone who expresses in interest in wanting to party with us will be able to get a first look at our wedding video and get down on the dance floor with some good ol' traditional "Electric Slide."
